Wonderful World of Web Widgets

Emily Hurst,

Also known as gadgets, widgets are a great way to quickly add information or resources outside of your own website.Widgets are separate applications that can be embedded in other sites by any user of the widgets can be embedded in a Web page., a blog or a site that uses HTML code.

For example, you might have used the Haitian health resources page provided by NLM, but you may want to give these same resources link to Web site visitors. NLM create widget linking back to the resources. You can embed the widget on the page provided code to place the resource page graphic link to your own website.

Many other public bodies created widgets that can be added to the Web site.Embed on your site widgets allow you to customize the Web site but still have access to resources and information. Widgets another advantage is that all data will be managed by the original author has only little maintenance when you insert a page into a widget in addition to the coding and graphics. not so does not entail any increase in the program is.The code and copy and paste.

The Government's Gadget Gallery-usa.gov contains a wide range of gadgets and topics, including health, business, family, environment, travel, science, reference, defence and more widgets.
